Pathways to Systemic Change

This autumn we are co-hosting a mobile sustainability training, “Walk to Wild”  for young people (aged 19 to 25) from across Europe with WWF and other partners. The programme consists of 7 days of hiking and walking through stunning natural parks in Spain blended with personal development exercises, team building, interactive sustainability workshops whilst enjoying a deep connection with nature and meeting people from different countries. At the end of the hike participants will arrive at the international wilderness conference organized by the Wild Foundation, WILD10 which will take place in the city of Salamanca.  At this event, there will be special components specifically targeting young professionals and adults (19-30 years old) called CoalitionWILD.
The aims of Walking to Wild are as follows;

  • Raise awareness of the topics and issues surrounding wilderness in Europe and the World
  • Create a deep personal connection and interest in the outdoors, nature, wilderness and conservation for young adults
  • Develop young leaders who have the awareness, knowledge, attitudes and skills to take action on environmental projects
  • Build upon growing WWF international network of young adults and adults focused and taking action on conservation

Barcelonya is offering two funded places for 19 to 25 year olds from Spain to participate in Walk to Wild from 27th September to 8th October. Please download the application form here and send to before 3rd September and to see the project blog with details of what to bring you can visit this page
