In recognition of the role of entrepreneurship and innovation in helping to achieve environmental change in the different socio-economic realities of the Mediterranean region Barcelonya developed a strategy to help stimulate green entrepreneurship in the region.
We produced a bank of case studies from the region from diverse sectors including sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, electronics recycling, handicrafts, energy, food and fashion. The strategies developed were for entrepreneurs at different stages of their cycle (potential, start up and up and running), and activities designed included a week long training programme, sectorial communities of practice and multi-stakeholder dialogues.
You can see the business case studies here.
